Dr. Ray Alavanja is a graduate of the Indiana University School of Dentistry. Even though he has over 20 years of experience, he continues to pursue higher education courses, keeping up with the latest technological advances and industry procedures in order to provide the highest level of care.
Dr. Ray Alavanja graduated from Indiana University School of Dentistry in 1998 and has over 25 years of experience in the dental field. He is a member of the American Dental Association, the Indiana Dental Association, the Chicago Dental Society and the Northwest Indiana Dental Society. Dr. Alavanja practices general/family dentistry, cosmetic dentistry and stays up to date by annually taking continuing education courses in various fields of dentistry. Dr. Alavanja believes in providing state of the art, relationship based, comprehensive care that is tailored to fit into the lives of his patients.
After dental school Dr. Alavanja chose to return to Northwest Indiana to serve the community where he was raised. Dr. Alavanja is married and has three sons. He likes to read, exercise and play golf when he isn't practicing dentistry or driving his sons to games and practices.

The health of our patients is our top priority, but we know that balancing all of your obligations can be tricky at best. For this reason, we offer flexible office hours from 7 am to 8 pm, in order to accommodate hectic schedules and ensure oral care is accessible to even the busiest of patients.

Kristina has been in the dental field for 17 years and loves what she does! She enjoys getting to know and building relationships with our patients. Kristina has been with Schererville Family Dentistry for 6 years and loves working with such a great team! Kristina is married and has two sons who keep her very busy!! In her spare time, she plays volleyball and enjoys spending time with her family and friends.
Jaime graduated from Indiana University School of Dentistry and has been practicing dental hygiene for 20 years! She has three children with her husband of 18years, John. In her free time, she enjoys visiting her son at IU and watching IU basketball.
Nichole has been in the dental field for almost twenty years and loves what she does. She has worked for SFD for 6 years, and she loves the team and all our patients! In her off time, she loves spending time with her family and enjoys staying active with her kids.
Gayle has been in the dental field for almost 39 years and enjoys what she does. Gayle has worked for SFD for 13 years. She loves all of our patients and team. She truly enjoys working with our doctors. In her free time, she loves spending time with her family and friends and enjoys camping.
